If not disclosed when registering, please email the EDI representatives Chiara and Lauren at oxfordwomeninmaths@gmail.com with your access needs along with the subject ‘Access Requirements’.
We want you to have the best conference experience possible, so please do not “push through” something interfering with your conference experience (no matter how small you feel it is) when we can help!
The conference is in the basement of the Andrew Wiles building which involves going down one flight of stairs. The larger lecture theatres also have stairs to get to the seats, with alternative lift access to the front of the room.
If you will need access to the lift, please contact the EDI representatives in advance of the conference so that a lift keycard can be arranged for you.
An interactive map of the University of Oxford that provides step-free directions around the city is available here: https://maps.ox.ac.uk/
There will be a sensory/quiet room for those who need a break from the conference and/or feel overstimulated. Please treat the quiet room with respect by keeping any talking to a whisper. You can go to the sensory room at any point during the conference - you don’t need to wait for a break in the schedule.
We will provide information about first aid in this section in the lead up to the conference.
An access guide to the Andrew Wiles building compiled by the University of Oxford is available here: https://www.accessguide.ox.ac.uk/andrew-wiles-building#collapse1445521
